Developer tickets to update the catalogue

An architectural LED manufacturer in Surat whose buyers need full datasheets before they specify anything. I built the site, the admin and the deployment: four product families with interactive specs, a CMS for products, case studies and SEO, and enquiries that land in a dashboard. If the database ever goes down, the catalogue stays up.

What it is

A website for a Surat company that makes architectural LED lighting, the kind that lights up building façades, temples, bridges and gardens. It shows their four product families, the technical detail an engineer needs to specify a fitting, and photo stories of buildings they've already lit.

Behind it sits an admin area the client's own team uses to add products, publish articles, upload photos and datasheets, and read the enquiries that come in.

The problem

The buyer here is an architect, a lighting consultant or a contractor. They don't buy from a photo. They need wattage, beam angle, throw distance, IP rating and a PDF datasheet before a fitting goes into a drawing, and they find you by searching.

So the site has to be a rich technical reference and something Google ranks, two jobs that usually pull against each other. And because the catalogue keeps changing, no change could be a developer ticket.

What I built

Every product is a full datasheet: specs, certifications, beam tables, finishes and a downloadable PDF. The product page is interactive: pick a wattage and the image swaps, so a visitor comparing a 12W and a 72W version sees the difference.

A CMS the client actually runs, covering products, case studies, articles with a proper editor, and galleries. Images go to Cloudinary, filed per project, and datasheets attach themselves to the right product.

SEO is a control panel rather than a code change: titles, descriptions, canonical URLs and index flags per page, structured data generated in one place, and a tag manager so their agency can add tracking scripts without touching code.

The contact form and gated catalogue downloads save every enquiry and send two emails, one to sales and one back to the visitor. And if the database is ever unreachable, product pages fall back to a bundled copy of the catalogue, so the site stays up and correct.
